Privacy Policy — Lergate
Lergate blocks distracting sites until you read part of a book. It is built so that the reading side works without an account and without sending anything to us. This page says exactly what stays on your computer and what leaves it.
1. Who we are
Lergate is published by TraduBook (tradubook.com). For any question about this policy or about your data, write to [email protected].
2. What never leaves your device
Unless you create an account and turn on sync (Pro), the following stays in your browser's local storage and IndexedDB:
- The EPUB files you import and the covers you choose;
- Your reading position, percentage, page turns and daily reading time;
- Your settings: blocked sites, reading time goal, cooldown, theme, font and language.
The extension reads the hostname of the tab that finished loading (for example instagram.com) to decide whether to show the gate. It does not read or store page content, messages, passwords or form data. Your block list is compared locally and is not uploaded.
3. What we collect when you create an account
An account is optional and is only needed for Pro features (sync across devices, extra themes, referral ranking). If you create one, we receive:

Event telemetry is on by default and can be turned off at any time in Settings → Send statistics. Turning it off stops all event requests immediately. Without an account, no events are sent at all, because there is nothing to attach them to.
4. Payments
Pro subscriptions are processed by our payment provider (Dodo Payments). Card details are entered on their checkout page and never reach our servers. We receive the subscription status, the plan period and a payment identifier.
5. Service providers
We use a small number of processors to run the service: Cloudflare (CDN and DNS), Hostinger (application hosting and database), Resend (transactional email) and the payment providers above. They process data on our behalf and are not allowed to use it for their own purposes.
6. What we never do
- We do not sell or rent personal data.
- We do not use your data for advertising, credit scoring or profiling.
- We do not read your books, your browsing content or your messages.
- We do not transfer data to third parties except the processors listed above or when legally required.
Our use of information received from Chrome complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
7. Retention and deletion
Account data is kept while the account exists. You can erase the local side at any time by removing the extension, which deletes the books, progress and settings stored in your browser. To delete your account and the data attached to it, write to [email protected] from the same email address; we delete it within 30 days. You can also export nothing and simply stop using the account — there is no lock-in.
8. Security
Traffic between the extension and tradubook.com uses HTTPS. Passwords are stored as hashes, not as plain text. Access to the production database is limited to the people who operate the service.
9. Children
Lergate is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
10. Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect, we will update this page and change the version and date at the top. Material changes will also be announced in the extension or by email to account holders.

O Lergate funciona sem conta: livros, progresso e configurações ficam no seu navegador e não sobem para nós. A extensão lê apenas o endereço do site (hostname) para decidir se mostra a tela de leitura — não lê o conteúdo da página, mensagens nem senhas.
Com conta (opcional, para o Pro), recebemos e-mail, senha (guardada como hash), nome, idioma, respostas do onboarding, progresso de leitura quando você usa o sync e eventos de uso do produto. As estatísticas podem ser desligadas em Configurações → Enviar estatísticas. Pagamentos são processados pela Dodo Payments; não vemos os dados do cartão.
Não vendemos dados, não usamos para publicidade e não lemos seus livros. Para apagar a conta e os dados ligados a ela, escreva para [email protected] a partir do mesmo e-mail — apagamos em até 30 dias. Remover a extensão apaga tudo o que está no navegador.
